Public Workers Tree Seminar 2025

This event offers lectures and demonstrations from local urban forestry experts on tree care and urban forest management practices. While geared toward public works employees, this event is also open to tree board members, local tree care companies, and the public. So, if you want to dive into the topic of tree care, come join us at our Public Workers Tree Seminar!

CEUs will be offered for ISA as well as KY and OH pesticide licenses. 

Lectures and outdoor demonstration topics will include (see website for detailed agenda): 
  • Forest habitat management - Jody Thompson, Kentucky State University
  • Pesticide safety - Dr. Ric Bessin, UK Entomology
  • Invasive species of Northern Kentucky - DJ Scully, Campbell County Extension
  • Demos by Davey Tree Experts include: assessing fungal decay and corrective action to immature trees

Lunch (barbecue buffet from Barleycorns) is provided. 

Attendees will also receive northern pecan tree plugs courtesy of Williams Creek Management!
