Public Workers Tree Seminar
Thursday, March 13, 2008
7:15 am - 3 pm
Boone County Extension Office
6028 Camp Ernst Road, Burlington, KY

Weather conditions in 2007 were devastating to trees growing in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati. A destructive ice storm and crippling late spring freeze preceded an epic drought, driving many trees into a spiral of decline and some eventual death. Last years catastrophic weather will have a long term detrimental impact on surviving trees throughout this region. Urban trees existing in non-native environments require supplemental maintenance and care to reduce these impacts.

If you are committed to the care of trees in your county, community, or neighborhood come to a better understanding of "Managing Urban Tree Stress" at the Boone County Extension Office on March 13, 2008. This program is especially intended for public works employees, tree board members and local volunteers who share in the care of our community trees. Please download the registration flyer for details. This program will provide 5 CEU's for ISA Certified Arborists.
